Call for Nominations

Nominations are now being taken for the positions of Secretary and Parent Representative.
  • Secretary is a two year term. The secretary’s duties include keeping a record of the procedures of the annual membership meeting and the meetings of the Executive Board, carrying on correspondence as necessary for the operation of the organization, assuming custody of all records, except those assigned to others, and keeping accurate rolls of Executive Board and committee memberships.
  • The Parent Representative is a two year term. Duties include residing as the chairperson of the Parent Involvement Committee, connecting with and recruiting parents, representing the subdivision in coordinating efforts with agencies and/or organizations that are connected with families, and providing a parent perspective on all subdivision efforts.

We are looking for members who are excited about making a difference in the lives of young children with disabilities in Michigan.

To join DEC, you must first be a member of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). When you join CEC, be sure to add our division, DEC, to your membership. Click here to join CEC.
